As ever an interesting week coming up with loads to see and hear!
On Saturday is Sir Bryn Terfel at the Bath Forum.
Bryn Terfel is world renowned and quite incredible, and on Saturday he performs an evening dedicated to the world of “Songs and Arias”.
The bass-baritone will present a selection of his signature roles from opera, music-theatre and the music-hall.
This will include music from Mozart to Wagner and some beautiful music from his native Wales. Not to be missed!
Next up is tribute band, the Total Stone Roses playing Moles after selling out the venue at their last performance.
They are playing Saturday night and Moles is at 14 George Street, should be good.
On Sunday, the event our headline refers to, the Cider and Live Music All Dayer at Komedia.
This is going to be a true West Country treat with The Skimmity Hitchers, fishy festival folk Nasty Fishmonger and Balkan House/Gypsy folk duo Razzomo.
It all starts at 12.45 at Komedia on Sunday. It should be an amazing day spent enjoying live music and cider!
Our final recommendation is on Wednesday at the Chapel Arts Centre and is a real gem.
The Magpies are playing and if you don’t know them yet, perhaps you should. Guitarist Bella Gaffney, banjo player Kate Griffin and fiddle-player Holly Brandon create a unique blend of transatlantic folk and it is truly beautiful.
They’ve played Glastonbury, Cambridge Folk Festival, Larmer Tree, Shambala Festival to name a few and their album Tidings is brilliant.
Highly recommended.
The Chapel Arts Centre is at St.James’s Memorial Hall Lower Borough Walls, Bath
